Я долго думал, кто же является главным героем сказки Г. Х. Андерсена «Снежная королева»? И пришёл к выводу, что это Герда. Эта мужественная влюблённая женщина проходит через все испытания, через все муки, чтобы спасти своего заблудшего друга. Именно женщина, а не маленькая девочка, какой она представлена в книге. Герда настолько сильно любит Кая, что идёт за ним туда, откуда нет пути назад. И спасает его силой своей безграничной любви. С этими мыслями я создавал увертюру «Герда».

I have been thinking for a long time, who is the main character of the fairy tale by H. H. Andersen "The Snow Queen"? And I came to the conclusion that it was Gerda. This courageous woman in love goes through all the trials, through all the torments, to save her lost friend. It is a woman, not a little girl, as she is represented in the book. Gerda loves Kai so much that she follows him to a place where there is no turning back. And saves him by the power of his boundless love. With these thoughts in mind, I created the "Gerda" overture
